I’ve wanted to be a therapist since before I knew what a therapist was. Helping people feel seen & heard, validated & uplifted is my favorite thing to do, and I’ve been doing it since the playground. It is my honor to walk alongside you on your journey and I take that honor seriously, but not too seriously. While professionalism and integrity are priorities in my work, so are playfulness and joy. Just because the work we are doing is hard doesn’t mean we can’t welcome a little laughter while we do it! My other passions include being a mom to the goodest boy dog (Newt), supporting my spouse who is an active duty Marine, watching and reading The Lord of the Rings and other fantasy on repeat, drinking tea, and knitting.
"My therapy is secular and non-religious in nature, and I allow my client’s beliefs and values to lead the way to wellness."

Experience
Before starting my private practice, I worked as a therapist at a counseling center on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, where I helped active-duty members, reservists, and their spouses work through a range of mental health issues. Before that, I worked on the same installation as a FOCUS Resilience Trainer, in which position I provided military-specific relationship skills training for both couples and families. During grad school I received a paid internship at the VA Hospital in Bay Pines Florida where I provided Clinical Social Work services to Veterans with moderate to severe mental illness. And even before that, I was a volunteer at a different VA Hospital in Florida, where I restocked medical supplies in the Emergency Ward and spent as much time talking to the veterans awaiting care as I could.
